Liverpool hero John Aldridge has urged fans not to panic and retain confidence in manager Jurgen Klopp to work out their defensive problems.
After defeat at West Ham, Aldridge wrote for the Liverpool Echo: "I think we've been hinting at a loss like this in the last month or so, what with the goals we're conceding.
"It's chalk and cheese from beating Manchester United. That happens sometimes when you have a great result, you do take your eye off the ball a little bit.
"Days go against you and West Ham was one of those. But you can't have them all the time.
"It started off against AC Milan, when they briefly turned the game around, Brentford and even Man City coming back twice. The game against Brighton last week was another one.
"I love the team and I love the way they play but you can't keep conceding goals how we're doing. We're gifting goals, we really are, and that's not the team that we are used to seeing the last couple of years.
"We do now and again, they're only human and makes mistakes in certain games, but it's happening a bit too regularly now. You want to be getting clean sheets.
"I know Carra's said about the high line, which is part of our game and what the manager likes. It is dangerous but when it's effective, it's brilliant. I don't know, I really don't know. Jurgen's going to know about it, because that's the way we play, but we're making too many errors defensively."
