
Kota Kinabalu: Twenty men, aged between 19 and 47, suspected of substance abuse and drug activities were rounded up during Ops Sarang operation carried out by city police, here, Saturday.
City Police Chief ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah in a statement, here, Sunday, said the 4.30am operation involved five officers and 58 personnel.
The focus was on areas identified as hubs for drug activities in Kg Lok Buno, Taman Putrajaya, Kg Lapasan and Kg Wak-Wak.
A foreigner found with 22 packets containing 56.77 grammes of suspected syabu was among those detained.
The operation saw police making an overall seizure of 70.09 grammes of suspected syabu worth about RM7,009 in the market.
In this regard, Zaidi said police will
continue to boost efforts to eradicate drug activities and substance abuse in the city.
