Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was delighted with their 3-0 win at Champions League opponents Sheriff.

David Alaba, Toni Kroos and Karim Benzema struck the goals for the visitors.

Ancelotti later said: "We continue along the right path. I like the way we're playing. The squad is in good shape, everyone is strong physically. It's important for us to finish top and we'll be looking to end our group campaign the way we've begun it.

"We took Alaba off because he twisted his ankle slightly, but I really don't think it's a bad problem. We are pretty confident that he'll be ready for upcoming games."

On man-of-the-match Kroos, the coach added: "If Toni's on form his coach can breath easier."
