Andriy Yarmolenko put the Hammers ahead just before half-time when he headed in Nikola Vlasic's cross.
Only moments later, Yarmolenko was fouled in the box and Mark Noble to convert the resulting penalty.
The Hammers are now guaranteed to finish top of Group H.
