AC Omonia coach Henning Berg believes Michael Carrick will able to lift Manchester United's players after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sacking.
Interim boss Carrick has already emphasised the responsibility of playing for a club as big as United and Berg can see reaction from the players tonight at Champions League opponents Villarreal.
"I would think so," Berg told BBC Sport. "You normally have a reaction when you change – a short-term reaction, it must be said.
"Carrick has been with Ole for a long time, I'm sure they're quite similar with how they look at things, because otherwise they would not be working together for such a long time… so we don't think they'll be too many changes."
On how nerve-wracking Carrick's first game in charge will be: "He will be feeling good, because he knows the players, knows the club, he knows everything within.
"It's not like he's coming in to many unknown things. He will not have the pressure either, or the expectations, to be the long-term manager.
“I don't think he will be too nervous, he'll be looking forward to it, looking as a big opportunity."
