Manolo Jimenez is delighted seeing Daniel Alves sign with Barcelona.
Jimenez coached Alves in the 07-08 season at Sevilla. The Andalusian knows the player well and is sure he can offer a lot to Barcelona.
Speaking to RAC1, Jimenez said: “The signing of Alves is not an extravagance, I'm sure they have followed him and know he's in shape. He's there to add on the pitch and in the dressing room."
Jimenez recognised that Alves at Sevilla “was a leader in the dressing room, very competitive and brought a lot of joy."
Now he thinks “he'll give Xavi a hand and help the youngsters, if Xavi has taken the decision then it's for a reason. The Sevilla coach recognised that “Dani is a good team-mate and his signing will be a good move."
