AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud admits regret that he has never played for Liverpool.

Former Chelsea centre-forward Giroud found the back of the net seven times in 13 Premier League appearances against the Reds, with his physical presence proving to be a real issue in the final third of the pitch.

Although a move to Liverpool was never explored a possibility in recent years, the four-time FA Cup winner has admitted this would have been an attractive proposition for him.

"Well, them to me? I don't think so, but I have to say that Liverpool have an amazing stadium and amazing fans. What player wouldn't want to play for them?" questioned Giroud when speaking on The Big Interview with Graham Hunter.

"They became European Champions League winners, they won the league and they have a great manager."
