Venezia coach Paolo Zanetti was delighted with victory over Bologna on Sunday.
David Okerere struck for the 1-0 win.
“We were helped by an important performance from the rest of the team, but we won the game thanks to them," Zanetti said at a press conference.
“We worked a lot on set-pieces and I deployed players who could be up to the task physically. We conceded a few opportunities, but they were never too dangerous."
On the form of Mattia Caldara, Zanetti added: “He's settling in after an adaptation period. He put in high-level performances in the last four or five games."
