Xavi was Guardiola's captain when he was Barca coach and has now been appointed first team trainer.
The former Barca midfielder left Al Sadd for the job over the weekend and will be presented to the local media later today at the Nou Camp.
Local journalist Matteo Moretto reports Guardiola is traveling to the city and intends to attend the media conference.
