Tottenham boss Antonio Conte insists Dele Alli will get a chance under him.
Alli was an unused substitute in Conte's first game in charge in the Europa Conference League victory over Vitesse raising concerns that his troubles may be set to continue under the new boss.
"Dele is a player who has great potential," said Conte. "Physically he's strong, and he's very good.
"For sure I will give him the possibility to show his talent.
"At the same time, when I pick the starting 11, it's because I think this starting 11 can help the team to win. And also when I make changes during the game."
Conte knows only too well how talented Alli can be. Alli was just 20 back in January 2017 when he scored both goals in a 2-0 win for Tottenham against Conte's Chelsea.
"I remember very well when we played against Tottenham in the past, especially one game when we lost after 13 wins in a row against Tottenham," said Conte. "Dele scored twice. But this is the past. Now there is a present."
