There's a growing acceptance at Manchester United that Paul Pogba will be leaving in 2022.

The Manchester Evening News says it seems that Pogba will be leaving United rather than renewing, with the midfielder not showing any inclination to commit to a fresh deal.

Pogba has just months remaining on his current contract at Old Trafford and will be able to discuss a free transfer with clubs abroad from January.

The 28-year-old started the season in electrifying form - registering seven assists in four Premier League outings for the Red Devils.

However, since then his form has tailed off drastically and he was sent off within minutes of coming on as a second-half substitute in the 5-0 home humiliation by Liverpool.

The World Cup winner with France was disappointing once again on Tuesday night during United's 2-2 Champions League draw at Atalanta and was hauled off on 69 minutes.
