Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone says he was to blame for their collapse at Valencia.
Atletico blew a 3-1 lead in injury time to be pulled back to 3-3 by the hosts.
Simeone later said: "I congratulate my footballers, a game with personality, criteria, order, after a game with one less in Liverpool. We got 1-3 and many times the coach tends to hit and miss others. And this time I have failed.
"In football things (I have failed), which will have been seen.
"What I have to say I will say in the locker room. It's hard to lose points, but I can't stay for the final five minutes but for the work they did after Liverpool's effort and the great game the team played. Mistakes are paid in football.
"It was an extraordinary game, 85, 88 wonderful minutes. The coach was wrong and the team collapsed because of the coach."
