Villarreal chief exec Fernando Roig Negueroles is pleased with Manu Trigueros' new contract signing.
The midfielder has penned terms to 2025.
Roig Negueroles said in reaction: “What he wants and what we want is for him to end his career at Villarreal, and for him to retire here. He's a player who gives us a lot and score goals. We're very happy because he's a very important player who brings a lot to the team."
Roig Negueroles added: “The first half of a season he had at Villarreal C wasn't easy, but then his trajectory was rapid until he joined the first team, where he consolidated his place when we were in Segunda and then became a very important player.
"Every year, he plays more than 30 games."
