Watford manager Claudio Ranieri has insisted Manchester United remain 'one of the biggest teams in Europe'.

Ranieri will be tasked with beating United when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men travel to Vicarage Road on Saturday.

"I don't know if it's a good time [to play Manchester United] but [if] this is the time to play Manchester United then we are ready to fight one of the biggest teams in Europe and in England of course," Ranieri told reporters.

He added: "Always manager's are under pressure in every country, in every moment also 20 to 30 years ago, that's our life.

"We are alone, we have to fight, we have to be very clear with our players and do our best. With the sport, you can win, you can draw, you can lose but it's important your cousins [sic] are okay."
