Just a few days after Boost hinted at the possibility of making Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) electricity bills payable via its BoostBill feature, Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet, too, has shared a post on its social media that hints at the same thing.

“The power of electricity has always been in blue. We have a bright new partner you’ve always been waiting for & an electrifying deal you won’t want to miss. All will be revealed on 13 November 2021,” the e-wallet service provider shared in the post.

With this announcement from TNG eWallet, Boost will not be the sole official e-wallet payment partner for TNB as the electricity utility company begins to embrace e-wallet payments after a long time of steering clear of it. As TNB (gradually) opens its doors to e-wallet payments, this could mean that Malaysians will potentially be able to earn considerable savings in the long term, such as via credit card rewards programmes.

Similar to Boost, TNG eWallet currently allows its users to pay electricity bills from three billers, namely Sarawak Energy, Sabah Electricity, and NUR Power (Nur Distribution).
