Former Manchester City attacker Trevor Sinclair says Manchester United need to buy a defensive midfielder.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were dominated by local rivals Man City at the weekend - just two weeks after Liverpool also came to Old Trafford and thumped them 5-0.
Former West Ham winger Sinclair told talkSPORT: "I go back to the summer when they made their signings – I didn't think they needed a winger and I didn't think they needed a striker.
"I said they needed a right-back and a holding midfielder.
"Declan Rice, if he's playing with Scott McTominay or Fred, the difference in performance in that Man United team would be vast, vastly different."
