Juventus managing director Maurizio Arrivabene admits losing Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United was a heavy blow to the team.

Ronaldo left Juve with the season underway and Arrivabene concedes the players needed to adjust.

Before last night's Champions League defeat at Chelsea, he stated: "(What is the state of mind within the club after the recent victories?) We started with a heavy absence for the players and so there was a moment of adjustment.

"When a player like Cristiano Ronaldo leaves and, for better or for worse, carries the weight of the responsibilities of the team, it is normal to have a downturn, but I think that today the players have each taken their responsibilities and are looking to the future in the right way. It must be the spirit of the team."
