Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has hailed the impact of summer signing Aaron Ramsdale.

Eyebrows were raised in the summer when Arsenal agreed a deal, which could eventually be worth £30million, with Sheffield United for Ramsdale, but the goalkeeper has shone thus far.

He was the man of the match during Arsenal's 2-0 win at Leicester on Saturday, making a number of fine saves to stretch the Gunners' unbeaten run in all competitions to nine games. The pick of them was Ramsdale denying a James Maddison free-kick.

“From my angle, it was 100 per cent a goal and then he saved it," said Saka. “The second action, I thought it was going to be a goal again and he saved us again.

“I don't know how he saved it, then he saved it again. So hats off to him from me. He was our best player today and he deserved a clean sheet.

“He just keeps surprising everyone and he is in great form. I just hope he can continue like that because he is making a big difference."
