Kota Kinabalu: Parti Warisan Sabah (PWS) was dealt with a double salvo of defections after two more state lawmakers including its Vice-President Datuk Peter Anthony quit the party.

Melalap assemblyman Anthony and Limbahau Assemblyman Datuk Juil Nuatim claimed Warisan had "deviated" from its original struggle of fighting for Sabah's rights after the party launched its peninsular chapter on Dec 17.

As a result, Anthony said he will he forming a new Sabah-based party with Juil, noting details of the Kadazan Dusun Murut-based party are to be announced soon.

Anthony, when met by reporters upon his arrival at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, also dismissed claims that his decision to quit the party was due to pressure from his ongoing court case.
