Norwich City boss Dean Smith feels they need to add squad depth in January.

Smith believes he does have a squad to compete in the Premier League, but has been decimated by injuries and illness and could also impact January plans.

After losing 3-0 to Crystal Palace, Smith said: "I think it's really difficult because as I said when I came out, we were leaving two or three players out of the 11 vs 11 practise games in training.

"So we've got a squad here, it's just not a healthy squad at the moment.

"Everybody knows the model of the club, you can't carry that big of a squad and go and bring other players in.

"I'll sit down with Stuart (Webber, football director) and see where we are, but at the moment, we've got to make sure we turn round quickly for another tough game at Leicester."
