Aston Villa hero Lee Hendrie can't see why Carney Chukwuemeka would want to leave.
Chukwuemeka is attracting interest from bigger Premier League clubs.
But Hendrie says, "It's important what Villa are actually building at the moment. That's what should make (Carney) want to stay there.
"Something's special is going to happen at this football club. I've got no doubt about it.
"I'm not saying it's going to come under Steven (Gerrard), I've just got this belief that this club is slowly transitioning into... I'm not saying they're going to win the Premier League... But they are certainly going to start to compete back being amongst that European spot at some stage.
"What they've done recruiting youngsters and they have done that because they fell away from recruiting young players. Now, they've got a crop of youngsters that are going to keep filtering through.
"Now, if Stevie can add to that and bring in extra-special players that can nurture them youngsters I feel Villa are certainly going in the right direction.
"That's why I say that these youngsters should certainly stay around. They should stick around."
