Burnley manager Sean Dyche is hopeful the club can tie down their players with expiring contracts.

James Tarkowski and Ben Mee are two important players who are set to become free agents in the summer.

Both players have been linked with Newcastle United, while West Ham are also keen on Tarkowski.

Dyche was asked about the contract situation after Sunday's goalless draw with the Hammers.

"I am reasonably confident that the ownership are aware of the contract situation, as am I," said Dyche.

"That is an ongoing process to work with the agents, speak to the players when needed and speak about the next steps

"It is just a reality of the industry we are in, we have skilled people that are under contract and those contracts either run out or get renewed and carry on

"That is the reality of it, it is a business situation."
