Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has ruled out competing for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland next year.

With Real Madrid confirmed as a suitor by BVB chief Hans-Joachim Watzke last week, Hainer says Bayern won't take part in any action for the Norway international.

"We are not interested in Haaland," the president told Sport1 emphatically. "We have Robert Lewandowski, the best striker in the world.

"He will play at the same level for a few more years. We are very happy to have him because he is an absolute guarantee of goals. He knows that I and everyone who is in charge of the club appreciate him very much, we have told you so many times."
