UEFA have confirmed the Europa Conference League tie between Tottenham and Rennes has been postponed.
After Spurs had insisted the game had to be called off this week, Rennes announced yesterday the tie would go ahead and they intended to fulfill their end of the commitment.
However, UEFA declared this morning: "We can confirm that the match between Tottenham Hotspur and Stade Rennes will not take place. Further information will follow shortly."
Rennes had earlier complained: “The lack of fair play is all the more striking as Tottenham informed Rennes on Wednesday afternoon that the game would go ahead. The squad then traveled to London."
Tottenham have insisted they do not have enough players available due to a covid outbreak.
