Kota Kinabalu: On 11 December 2021, Lions Club of Tanjung Aru in collaboration with Institut Sinaran’s 13 staff and eight representatives from the Student Council launched a Tree Planting Project at the campus.

The club successfully planted 30 bucida trees (white and green) in the campus.

The project was organised in conjunction with District 308-A2’s target to plant 2022 trees by April 2022, in celebration of Earth Day 2022.

This was also the institute’s first activity under Health and Environment Sub Committee.

Institut Sinaran CEO Michael Chin thanked Lions Club of Tanjung Aru for sponsoring the 30 bucida trees according to their request, and creating a better environment for their institute.

Organising Chairperson Dr Andrew said, trees provide marvellous sustainable benefits to our planet for everyone. This project aims to share the idea of environmental protection to the students, as well as value of trees and seeds. As Lions, we are pledged to protect and take care of our environment, restore nature to its best condition and eventually improve the community and its environment.
