Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard believes Jacob Ramsey has a "bright future".
The 20-year-old, who came through Villa's academy, scored a wonderful solo goal in the 2-0 win over Norwich City on Tuesday.
And Gerrard was quick to praise Ramsey after the game.
He said: "He scored a fantastic goal. I thought his all-round performance was outstanding.
"He has a bright future for sure."
Ramsey cited Gerrard as an inspiration after the game.
The former Liverpool midfielder was known as a world-class goalscoring midfielder.
And Ramsey hopes he can emulate the Reds icon.
The Englishman said: "I've been watching clips of the gaffer [Steven Gerrard] and he was one of the best goalscoring midfielders and that's what I want to be."
