While a January sale has been mooted, Sport says Barca's board expect Dembele to run down his deal and leave for nothing in June.
The €140m signing from Borussia Dortmund has offers from across Europe, though England is his most likely destination.
Newcastle and Manchester United are both in talks with his agent, Moussa Dembele, about a move in 2022.
