Continuous rains beginning over the weekend (Dec 17), brought about flash floods, and the destruction of lives as well as homes of many, in the heart of Malaysia.
Living out #RakyatJagaRakyat, Malaysians regardless of race or religion, have been going through leaps and bounds to help all those in need.
From opening shelters, donating groceries, clothes, cooking and delivering food, clean up and literal search and rescue, it's been a non-stop around the clock.
While common folk look out for one another, the government has since been accused of being completely useless in a country's time of need. Coming in a little too late, and doing the bare minimum, Malaysians are just about done.
With numerous hashtags like #KerajaanGagal, #KerajaanBangsat, and #KerajaanPembunuh, #DONOTDONATEHERE has also been trending on Twitter.
Via the hashtag, netizens are actively warning anyone and everyone to NOT donate to governmental bodies, who merely 'claim' intention to help.

Remember: do not donate here or to that Rina Harun fund as well. They're the government, they have money. Give your money directly to proper NGOs like the Gurdwara etc. or get items and directly help them if you can. https://t.co/kRFqcL5QsO
