BEAUFORT: Residents of Kg Tamalangalong appealed to the Sabah Water Department (JANS) and related agencies to resolve their water supply problem which has been getting worse recently.
One of the residents, Julitah Awing, told the Daily Express that dozens of households were in a fix as the water supply to their homes was cut off.
“The supply was cut off last month and this time, it is the fourth time we are facing the same problem.
“Not only this problem happens frequently but also when there is water, the water coming out of the pipe is brown. We hope JANS knows how difficult it is for us without water,” she said, Monday.
Julitah said it was difficult for her and her family members to bathe, eat, drink and wash as the water stored in the tank had already been used up.
“Not only that, our school-going children can’t even take a shower.
“If this problem is caused by a broken pipe due to Pan Borneo Highway construction work, we hope it can be addressed immediately.
“We also ask Sipitang Member of Parliament and Deputy Finance Minister II Hafiz Yamani Musa and Lumadan people’s representative Ruslan Muharam to resolve the problem immediately,” she said.
