Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling has admitted regret over the way he handled his departure from Liverpool.
Sterling left Anfield in 2015 amid a new contract battle.
He told Sky Sports: "Sometimes you have to go for what you really want. The career is short and you can never predict the future. It's about making decisions.
"I would say that I am disappointed with the way I came from Liverpool. I said the club's ambitions did not match mine. I regret that as the only thing
"I had a good time in Liverpool. They invested a lot in me as a teenager. They have played a huge role in my life and still mean something to me."
