Sevilla stunned champions Atletico Madrid on Saturday evening, with Lucas Ocampos' late strike delivering a 2-1 win.

Atletico, fresh off the back of their derby defeat to Real Madrid, were looking to bounce back and get themselves back in the title race.

However, it was the hosts, Sevilla, who propelled themselves into second place and now have their sights set on Los Blancos at the top.

Ivan Rakitic got Sevilla off to the perfect start with a stunning strike on seven minutes, which flew past Jan Oblak.

Atletico drew level after 33 minutes, as Felipe headed home from Thomas Lemar's cross.

However, just as the two sides looked set to share the points, Lucas Ocampos stepped up on 88 minutes to send the Sanchez Pizjuan into raptures, converting from Jules Kounde's assist to take all three points.
