Kota Kinabalu: The Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Huazong) welcomed the High Court decision and expressed great disappointment over the adamant attitude of the plaintiffs to file an appeal against the High Court decision that vernacular schools are constitutional.
Its President Tan Sri T.C Goh, hoped all quarters involved would respect the Federal Constitution and its provisions, and to stop challenging the position of vernacular schools and the use of mother tongues other than Bahasa Malaysia as a medium of teaching.
