Watford are moving forward with plans to sign Arsenal fullback Sead Kolasinac.

The Hornets want to sign a left-back in the January transfer window.

Claudio Ranieri wants to bolster his defence as Watford look to stave off relegation.

Kolasinac, 28, is out of contract at the end of the season and will not sign an extension with the Gunners.

Watford are keen to sign him on for the rest of the season, but the Evening Standard says Arsenal would have to subsidise his wages.

The Bosnia international is currently earning £100,000-a-week.
