Oscar Bobb is delighted with his form for Manchester City U23s this season.
While a first-team appearance has not yet come, Bobb has taken significant strides forward this season by starring in the U23 team. The 18-year-old Norwegian leads the league for assists with seven from 14 starts - as well as scoring three times - to step up in a prolific attack including Cole Palmer and James McAtee.
"I do look at the assists and goals. I want to get my goals up," Bobb told the Manchester Evening News.
"I've got a lot of assists, a lot thanks to James but I do look at them. I try not to but I think all players do. [James McAtee and Cole Palmer are] some of the best players I've ever seen and played with. When you have that in the back of your mind, you can give it to them at any moment in time and they can get out of any situation. It's very good to have alongside you.
"It makes me want to push even harder and train harder and take parts of their game and implement it into mine. I'm also with a group of players that I've been playing with now for two years. I find it a bit easier to play with them and they help me a lot to settle in. It is our first year in our under-23s as a unit so we're trying to figure it out together and doing our best, and it's a great experience."
