Roma coach Jose Mourinho admits telling Bryan Cristante not to badger the referee when captain.
Cristante wore the armband for victory over Spezia.
Mourinho revealed: “I told him to take it easy with referees because he is not (Leonardo) Bonucci, he doesn't have the same status so he can't say certain things to the referee."
The coach added: "If you look at how many yellow and red cards we get, we look like a team of killers."
Roma saw youngster Felix Afena-Gyan sent off in the second half.
