Lecce earned a 2-0 victory at the Stadio Picco last night, becoming the only Serie B side to make it into the Coppa Italia Round of 16.
After being jeered off the pitch, the players and coach were blocked from leaving stadium by angry fans.
Asked about the defeat, coach Thiago Motta said: “Lecce were superior to us tonight and we have to accept the current reality so we can try to improve. We are in a situation where we can only get better."
He was asked if the club still had faith in him.
“Next question. We all have faith that we can get out of this together."
