Kota Kinabalu: Datuk Awang Aslee Lakat was elected President of the Sabah Handball Association (2022-2023) at their seventh Annual General Meeting officiated by Malaysian Handball Association President, Haji Pandak Haji Ahmad, Wednesday.

The deputy president post went to Vijaya Kumar Arumugam with  Rizwan Dahlan, Ali Hussin Mohd Sait @ Mohd Said and Nazir Haji Salleh elected as vice presidents.

The  six elected committee members are  Sazry Rame, Jasri Dullah, Awang Mohd Taufiq Awang Ali, Nurul Nadia Az-Zahra Hazizan, Wan Dayangku Syawana Ag Matasan and Azami Laman while Mohd Yahdi Ag Matusin was appointed secretary and Abdul Rahman Mohd Taib as  treasurer.

Ag Aslee vowed to give his best to lead the association and to improve the quality of the sport in the State.

“I will be doing my very best and working hard to further improve the quality of handball in Sabah,” he said.

He congratulated all the newly elected committee members and thanked  the delegates for their  trust on him  to lead the association.
