Former England winger Trevor Sinclair is impressed by the progress of Everton midfielder Anthony Gordon.
On Thursday, the academy graduate produced arguably his best outing in Everton colours, as Rafa Benitez's much-depleted side earned a 1-1 draw away at Chelsea.
Gordon not only set up Jarrad Branthwaite 's equalising goal with a devilish set-piece delivery, he was a constant outlet for the Toffees as they sat deep, soaked up pressure and sprung forward on the counter-attack.
Sinclair was on commentary with TalkSport during the game and he said the way the England youth international has progressed has been a huge positive.
"I can't tell you how good that free-kick was," he said. "It's a superbly flighted ball. And it's a great finish, he had to stretch every bit of his body.
"Mendy had no chance, but I have to say, Anthony Gordon! Watching him develop this season has been an absolute joy."
