Norwich City boss Dean Smith believes his side are showing improvement, despite losing 3-0 to Tottenham away from home on Sunday.
The Canaries are still in the bottom three places, and find themselves three points away from safety.
However, Smith believes their overall performance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was solid, but they must find a way to improve their defending in specific moments.
"The performance is a step in the right direction, the result aside," said the Norwich boss.
"We have to learn how to defend better, especially from set-pieces."
