Barcelona midfielder Pedri has revisited being rejected by Real Madrid.
Before joining Barca from Las Palmas, Pedri had a trial at Real Madrid's academy, but was rejected by the coaching staff involved.
Pedri said, "I spent a week training with Real Madrid, in the cold, but for them I didn't have the level they wanted.
"That's why I went at Las Palmas, a natural choice anyway because every Canarian child dreams of playing there. Without Las Palmas, I would not be here now.
"I learned a lot and Pepe Mel was fundamental in my growth process."
