Barcelona were forced to delay the announcement of Ferran Torres' signing on Monday.

Fans have been made to wait for Torres' addition to be confirmed by the club, but the Catalans are yet to get the deal with Manchester City entirely over the line.

Both clubs are still checking and reviewing all of the documentation involved int he move, and nothing will be announced until everything is signed.

As a result, it's unlikely that anything will be announced before Tuesday - and even that would be at the earliest. Barcelona had wanted to announce the signing on Monday and present the player at noon on Tuesday, but everything has now been put on ice.

Some sources have suggested that England's bank holiday is the cause of the delay, reports Marca.

Torres, like all cules, has been left waiting for the deal to be confirmed after he himself made his own feelings clear on Monday morning after undergoing his medical.
