Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has told local press to calm down about Lewis Bate.
The former Chelsea midfielder has been pushing for a Premier League chance.
But Bielsa said today: "What he does is sufficient.
"A very hard-working person, very serious. Competing with players his age and those with stability in the first team. I observe, correctly or not, and I pick. Sounds more like the question of a parent or an agent, not a journalist."
Leeds go to Manchester City tomorrow night.
