Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was dropped by Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta yesterday after missing training on Friday.
The Gunners captain was left out of the Gunners' squad for their clash with Southampton because of what Arteta described as a "disciplinary breach."
The Spaniard said: "Unfortunately due to a disciplinary breach. I think we have been very consistent that we have certain non-negotiables in the team that we have set ourselves as a club, and he's not involved today."
And now more details have emerged over the Gabon international's absence.
The Athletic reports Aubameyang was given permission to fly abroad for personal reasons but returned later than agreed and due to travel protocols, he missed training on Friday.
Arteta then omitted his captain from the matchday squad against the Saints, as a result, a game the north Londoners would go on and win 3-0.
