Kalvin Phillips has handed Leeds United a heavy injury blow.

The Daily Mail says Leeds could lose star midfielder Phillips until February and be without Patrick Bamford in the shorter term after he injured a hamstring celebrating Sunday's late equaliser against Brentford.

In a major blow to Leeds' Premier League survival hopes, Phillips hobbled off 10 minutes into the second half of the 2-2 draw with what is also believed to be a hamstring problem.

After the game, Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa was unable to give a prognosis on the England international's injury but he could be out of action for two months.

In a further setback for Bielsa's side, striker Bamford hurt himself as he ran off after his dramatic 95th-minute goal against the Bees.

Bamford had come off the bench to make his first appearance in almost three months following an ankle injury, but is now a doubt again for Saturday's trip to Chelsea.
