AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali admitted frustration after their 1-1 draw with Udinese.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic struck in injury-time for Milan after Beto had Udinese ahead.

“It hurts and we are disappointed to have thrown away the first half, as we lost the ball so many times in midfield and made it easy for them to go on the counter," second-half substitute Tonali told Sky Italia.

“We reacted in the second half, but we are Milan and we had to react quicker. At this stage of the season, we can't use injuries as an alibi. Every team has these issues, ours maybe a bit more, but we have a quality squad and cannot use them as an excuse."

He added: “We must still have a solution for every gameplan. In the final 15 minutes, we pumped a lot of balls into the box against a side that sat very deep. We can't do that for 70 minutes, but in the closing stages we went for that and it led to the goal.

“Other teams might've figured us out tactically, but we have to find the alternatives and keep going forward."
