Former Italy star Aldo Serena can understand Juventus being careful in new contract talks with Paulo Dybala.
Dybala and Juve have been locked in negotiations for some months.
Serena told Gazzetta dello Sport: "If Juve decided to choose the path of prudence, with a contract of less than five years, I would sincerely understand. It seems to me an understandable protection.
"Dybala is a great player and I am convinced that Juve would bet decisively on him, if they understood that he is an attacker capable of having continuity.
"Recent injuries, however, make us think: with various muscular episodes in the past, it is right to be cautious and not overbalance."
