Manchester United manager Michael Carrick says Raphael Varane's injury rehabilitation is progressing well.
The Frenchman has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since the start of November.
Varane won't play against Arsenal or Crystal Palace this week, but Carrick hopes he is back soon.
"Yeah, Rapha's rehab is going really well," Carrick told MUTV on Wednesday. "He's out on the grass but it won't be any time this week, by any stretch, it'll be a little bit further than that, if not even longer.
"He's on course [though], which is good."
