Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher says he enjoyed a text exchange with the father of Tyler Morton this week.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp handed first-team chances to a number of players in what was a Champions League dead rubber at the San Siro, with Morton among those to be selected from the start.
Speaking on CBS Sports after the full-time whistle, Carragher said: "Someone just texted me back, let's get the text.
"I texted him (Morton's dad) before the game 'Brilliant', when I saw the teamsheet, delighted for you and the family.'"
Carragher continued by reading the reply of Morton's dad, which read: "Can't believe it. Wow, thank you!
"So that's his dad - I was telling the truth! My son was at Liverpool - they go in really young now - aged six.
"I've watched that group of players. There's another lad on the bench, James Norris, he never came on.
"So I've seen them come right through the system and they're at that age now - 18 or 19 - where they have to make their name in the game."
