Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has highlighted Granit Xhaka avoiding dismissal during Saturday's defeat to Arsenal.

An injury-depleted Whites side were well beaten 1-4 by the Gunners but there was one decision that was deemed contentious in the second half.

With Mikel Arteta's men three goals to the good at Elland Road, Xhaka escaped punishment for an aggressive stamp on Raphinha.

It hadn't looked like a particularly nasty challenge on first viewing but the replays showed that there was certainly malicious intent from the so-often rash Swiss midfielder.

VAR didn't feel as though it was an incident worthy of being overruled to the bafflement of plenty of Leeds supporters.

Raphinha's team mates also clearly thought it was a challenge worthy of a dismissal and Klich has reinforced his views the day after the defeat, reports Leeds-Live.

On his Instagram story, the Whites midfielder alluded to the lack of input from Stockley Park by posting a clip of the incident with the caption 'VAR'.
