Torino coach Ivan Juric admits he's been unfair in his criticism of the board after victory over Bologna.

Antonio Sanabria struck for Toro, who also benefited from an own goal to win 2-1.

"I thought it was a great performance, but we should've certainly scored many more goals and the result is too tight," Juric told Sky Italia.

“The lads needed to step up mentally and I saw that today in their desire to dominate the opponent. I am very satisfied indeed."

Juric was critical of the board over their summer market work last week.

“I am the biggest company man there is, just look at what we achieved at Verona, growing talents to sell them and all done practically without investment. I accept a young squad with prospects that I can work on, that's not a problem for me.

“I'm not asking for players, it's the concept I am asking for, and that's very different. I am not thinking of this season, but the future and making the club stronger, economically stable and comfortable. I believe we need more courage for that and this is where I clash with the President.

“Toro are coming off a period where the club invested €20m for players, but my idea of building is different. For example, at Verona we had Ilic who was this kid and is now a great midfielder. It's about finding that talent and helping it to develop.

“I am not demanding players and then sulking, it's the opposite. People need to see me and my staff in a different light."
